Labor Day Songs About Work

labor-day-grill-onWell, another three day holiday weekend is within sight as Labor Day unofficially signals the end of summer. It’s back to school time for some or back to work for others involved in the education system. Yet for many others, especially the recently retired or senior citizen brigade, who are considering an RV trip, it’s time to hit the road now that families are off of it and getting ready to settle in for another school year routine. It basically clears the highways up a little and cuts down on those summertime crowds sharing the road with you.

It’s suppose to be a restful break for the working man or woman. For many it means maybe looking forward to one last camping adventure at the lake, river, beach, forest or mountain retreat. Maybe relaxing, boating, canoeing, innertubing, swimming, fishing, hiking, off-road mountain biking, ATVing on the dunes or trails, or whatever else the mind can think of. Kicking back with family and  friends by the campfire ….. is the good life ….. at least for the moment.

This song list features songs about work or working, the backbone of early American values, as laborday-002expressed in many songs in this list. Once again there is variety in the songs listed here to choose from to create another playlist to take along with you where ever or whatever you’re planning to do that first September weekend. It’s by no means complete, but a decent selection to choose from. Whatever you’re doing, plan ahead, be safe and enjoy 🙂
