Fed Up With eBay? Look Where Else You Can Sell Online!

no-ebayFed up with the exorbitant (highly excessive) fees you’re paying on eBay?

Tired of being dinged for every conceivable move you make with your  listings  as well as displaying your merchandise?

Have you had enough of being overcharged for items that don’t even sell and paying again to have them relisted?

Sick of the constant fee increases, feedback system and policy changes?

There are alternatives — 100’s of them!

ALL of them are CHEAPER than eBay — Many are even FREE!!!

There are a number of “specialty” sites listed for those specializing in antiques, collectibles,  fine art, media, electronics, toys, children’s merchandise,  jewelry, home-made crafts and more. Another trend are sites that are set-up as “reverse auctions” where buyers attract sellers. Also more and more sites are including social networking, live chat and open forums for instant communication.

Majority of the sites listed are based in the United States but there are several listings from sites based in  Australia and the United Kingdom – also a growing number of “Global” site listings from Canada, France, Germany, India, Mexico, New Zealand and  elsewhere.

Helpful Advice & Suggestions

After checking out or scanning this long exhaustive list, you can see that there are plenty of other eBay alternative sites available — HOWEVER — Before you decide to register with any of them, you should ask yourself the following 5 important questions:

  1. How much traffic does the site get?
  2. How long has the website been operating?
  3. How much do you have to pay in listing and final value fees?
  4. What types of payment methods do they accept?
  5. How secure is the site?

You should be aware that the vast majority of these sites have very low traffic compared to eBay. However, a number of them are very “niche specific”, so if you happen to be selling niche items in the related auction site, you may be able to gain a highly targeted group of customers searching for your specific items.

Remember — Registering and selling at a website just because it’s free or has extremely low fees, is practically useless if the traffic is non-existent and therefore no one will be be able to see what items you’re selling.

eBay Alternatives – Online Auctions & Marketplaces

auction-sites-image-copyBelow you will find a very comprehensive and ‘exhaustive” directory of tons of alternatives to eBay. Majority are general merchandise (new or used), except as noted, many are free, some are fixed-price while others are up for bid or negotiation. A combination of auction, live-auction, marketplace, classified, etc. Some are large incorporated companies, others could be smaller entrepreneurs just starting out while most are somewhere in the middle. Majority of the listings are United States based, however there are a few listed here that are based in Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and others – Many allow for international sales. I would make an educated guess that at least 90% of these are still up and in operation since this list was compiled a few months back . Due to the nature of auctions as well as the internet, I’m sure  you will come across a few that are no longer in existence for one reason or another –  mergers, buy-outs, server changes, failures, and so forth. The numbers of sellers, buyers and exposure will vary too, of course. This should give anyone with an interest of selling online an incredible opportunity to shop & compare – Do check ’em out. No guarantees are made as to which one will out-perform others however one thing is certain. They are ALL here as an alternative to eBay who has the ‘universally” recognized name but has gotten TOO BIG for its own good and has also gotten waaaaaaaay out of hand with their fees and policies! As eBay continues to lose sellers, it gives very good growth potential to other sites who are keen and savvy to what sellers are looking for.

Good Luck and Happy Searching! :

So – – there it is – – in a nutshell – – let me summarize…

I’m sure you have come across hundreds of websites or been inundated by hundreds of ads proclaiming how you can get rich on the Net.

What is the truth ?

Well a very small minority (less than 1%) might do well while 99% are floundering. Moreover the latter are losing money by falling for get rich quick schemes, hype and scams.

I must warn you – if anyone says you can quickly earn a fortune then ignore them.

So how do you find a genuine opportunity?

My suggestion is to follow a respected Internet marketing guru.

How do you choose?

Well how about one who is not going to extort money from you, who gives away useful information for FREE and has a high credibility rating.

Sounds a sensible approach doesn’t it?

The name I have in mind is Harvey Segal — who is known all over the Net as Mr. SuperTips.

Check him out at these sites which contain profiles of the top marketers.

And take a look at those other top names, many of them have provided testimonials to Harvey’s work as you can see at this testimonial page.
