Chimpanzees Rescued From Research Labs Celebrating 1st Anniversary At New Safe Home


Cle Elum, Washington – Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is currently home to seven chimpanzees released from biomedical research. This group, known as the Cle Elum Seven, achimpanzee1rrived at the sanctuary chimpanzee2on June 13, 2008. They have been sharing stories, photos and video of the chimpanzees since their arrival.

The mission of the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest is to provide lifetime quality care for formerly abused or exploited chimpanzees, while advocating for great apes through education and collaboration.
