As the 2012 Olympic Games in London are in full force, I kinda thought it might be fun to do a relatively small random list of some rather interesting songs that feature sporting events held at this summer’s current world games in London. I have listed, in no particular order, an eclectic variety of songs that feature an Olympic sport/event in the title or within the lyrics of the song. The lyrics may only reference a sporting event, but not necessarily have anything to with it other than use it as a metaphor to get across other subject matter.
Videos have been provided for each listing. This is by no means a complete list, just a sampling of some of the more interesting and diverse music out there. Enjoy…….and feel free to comment at the bottom of this post…… including any other song suggestions you wish I would or should have included.
