Christmas Novelty Songs: A Large Collection

There are countless songs attributed to Christmas and the Holiday Season, both traditional and contemporary, that have become “standards” and/or “classics” over the years. There are also many Christian, Spiritual and other religious songs, hymns and prayers relating to this very special time of the year. You are probably quite familiar with the majority of those. With that being said, the focus here is on comedic, novelty and parody tunes – which included the funny, the unusual, the absurd, the “anti-norm”, the hilariously irreverent, some crude, some rude, some though-provoking – some geared at children or the young-at-heart – while a few are much more adult-themed or oriented. Over the years there have been “tons” of novelty songs of these types. Hopefully this post will introduce you to a number of these that you may not have heard before or at least haven’t heard for many years. By no means is this a complete list as that would be impossible due to many regional songs or non-mainstream releases. However, this is quite a large compilation of several of these over the past several decades as well as a number of them that have been released in the past few years. There are quite a number of artists that specialize in the novelty genre that are included here.

(Check out the second list at the bottom of this post - I have included links wherever possible for more info on these artists)
