Whatever you call them, stadium anthems, sports anthems, arena anthems, or jock jams, they’re generally “addictive” and well-known songs that are played over the public address system at stadiums and arenas all over the country to get a crowd of spectators and fans in attendance fired up for the big game. You will more than likely hear them during breaks to rally the fans as well as before, during and after the event.
Stadium anthems are characterized by a catchy up tempo rhythm and a repeated vocal call-response catchphrase, often a statement of pride or arrogance.
No matter what sporting event you’re attending, the music they play is used for crowd motivation – a way of getting the fans excited, pumped up, fired up, etc., especially when a team is on a roll or about to rally. Some songs are used when a particular player is coming up to bat or entering the game, or when an extra point, field goal, free throw, penalty shot or goal kick is about to be attempted. A few songs here are used to actually taunt a specific opposing player or team. Several of these songs featured here are a main staple at stadiums and arenas just about
everywhere, while others may be geared more towards a specific sport or event taking place. These songs have a way of enhancing your experience and enjoyment of the game you’re watching. Take a look below at over 100 of these songs you have probably heard while in attendance at a sporting event or you may have heard them during a television broadcast of the game. Either way, this list may come in quite handy if you’re looking to download songs to take with you to the big game. As always, a wide array of music genres are included. Enjoy!
Please note that I have excluded college fight or spirit songs from this particular list.

Thanks – personal collection as well as one of my favorite hobbies
How can I order a cd of the sports anthem songs
This would be great for our volleyball games at our high school
you forgot “the king’s motorcade”! just that song alone is a more complete list of sports music than yours! I’m sorry but that’s the only one that HAS TO be there! it must be added!!! this isn’t my opinion, this is fact. thank you
also, you should consider these songs: battleflag by the lo fidelity all-stars, the name of the game by crystal method and push it by static x. these are definitely “get you pumped” songs but the language might be a bit too intense for some. your call. thank you
you forgot “the bop back song” just that song alone is a more complete list of sports music than yours! am sorry but it must be added !!! thank you, http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bryantrogers
